Man dies from injuries sustained in Deir al-Asad shooting

A 50-year-old man has died after being shot in Deir al-Asad, a Palestinian Arab town in northern Israel. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (Israel’s emergency medical service) arrived at the scene on Sunday to find the man with penetrating injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident marks another outbreak of violence in the northern Arab community. Deir al-Asad, located in the Lower Galilee region, is home to around 6,000 residents and has experienced periodic security incidents in recent years.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
