Israel is facing a significant warming trend over the coming days, with temperatures expected to rise substantially and bring heavy heat stress across the country. Tomorrow will see further increases in temperature, particularly in the mountainous regions and inland areas, whilst coastal regions will experience slightly more moderate conditions. Meteorologists are warning of increasingly severe heat conditions as the week progresses.
By Thursday, temperatures are forecast to climb further, reaching levels well above seasonal norms and approaching heatwave conditions across most of the country. Heavy to extreme heat stress is expected to persist throughout the majority of Israeli regions during this period, presenting serious health risks for vulnerable populations including children, the elderly, and those with existing health conditions.
Friday is expected to remain abnormally warm to hot, with heatwave conditions continuing, and coastal areas again experiencing slightly relief from the intense inland heat. Residents are being advised to take precautions during this extended period of extreme temperatures, including staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged sun exposure, and checking on vulnerable family members and neighbours.
