Following a stabbing attack at Maoz Yehuda, IDF forces have launched a counter-terrorism operation in Samaria. A terrorist was eliminated after he barricaded himself in a building for several hours, throwing incendiary bottles and concrete blocks at soldiers before attacking them with a knife.
According to Captain Y, a company commander who led the operation: “He approached me with a knife.” The soldier’s account details the tense final moments of the confrontation as the armed terrorist moved towards IDF forces.
IDF forces continue intensive counter-terrorism efforts throughout the region, with soldiers reporting nightly discoveries of terrorists, explosives and improvised devices. “We find terrorists, explosives and charges every night,” troops reported from the field.
The operation represents part of ongoing IDF security operations in the West Bank to counter Palestinian militant activity and prevent further attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers.
