An 18-year-old woman was shot in a violent incident in the Negev region on Sunday night and was evacuated to Soroka Hospital in serious condition with impaired consciousness, according to Magen David Adom reports.
MDA paramedic Dena Levitin described the response: ‘The young woman was brought to us near the Idan Negev junction. She was in an altered state of consciousness with a penetrating injury. We provided life-saving medical treatment including stopping bleeding and stabilising her condition before evacuation.’
Israel Hayom identified the victim as a resident of Tarrabin. The circumstances of the shooting and the identity of the shooter remain under investigation. Emergency services provided immediate trauma care at the scene before transport to the hospital.
