Israel’s Supreme Court has ruled that political parties cannot report which voters failed to cast ballots, citing privacy violations. Justices Wilner, Stein and Kabub unanimously overturned a decision by the Central Elections Committee that had permitted the practice, known as ‘elector’ tracking, in recent election campaigns. The ruling prevents parties from using dedicated applications to encourage voter turnout on election day based on real-time polling station data.
