Education Minister Yoav Kisch has announced the suspension of national standardized examinations following disappointing results across language, mathematics and science tests.
Kisch has also barred the body responsible for managing these examinations from the ministry and expressed doubts about the validity of the results. The minister stated that additional preparatory steps are necessary before implementing recommendations from an independent review.
The decision represents a significant setback for Israel’s standardized testing framework and raises questions about the current state of educational assessment in Israeli schools.
