A senior Israeli political official has disclosed that Tehran is accelerating completion of the weaponisation component of its nuclear programme, according to reporting from Israel Hayom. The revelation indicates Iran is moving forward with the arming mechanism necessary for nuclear capability.

The disclosure comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts, including a confidential visit by Pakistan’s military commander presenting a ceasefire proposal involving billions in compensation and inspection of nuclear sites. However, Tehran is refusing to abandon uranium enrichment, complicating negotiations.

Israeli officials have emphasised that the military option remains available regardless of election timelines. Simultaneously, US President Trump has warned Iran of potential military action, stating “We’re doing well with Iran, we’ll decide if we do this the nice way or the not nice way.” CENTCOM is simultaneously advancing carrier deployment to the region, indicating heightened military readiness.
