Senior former Israeli security officials have sent a letter to the Prime Minister and Defence Minister demanding the immediate designation of the ‘Hilltop Youth and Men of the Hilltop’ organization as a terrorist entity, according to Israel Hayom.

The letter states that political backing from senior government ministers, coupled with tacit approval and at times encouragement from the Prime Minister and Defence Minister, has created the conditions enabling terrorist activities by the group.

The signatories argue that the organizational structure, financing, and operational methods of the group meet the criteria for terrorist designation under Israeli law. This represents a significant escalation in concerns about right-wing extremist activities in the West Bank.

The demand comes amid ongoing tensions over settler violence in Palestinian territories and represents a rare public intervention by former security establishment figures in current political debates.
