Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has reportedly ordered the Iranian military to prepare a response without geographical restrictions if the US or Israel resume military operations, according to Times of Israel reporting. The directive reportedly instructs Iran’s armed forces to target both Israeli and US ‘tangible and intangible assets’ in the event of renewed conflict.
Khamenei’s order comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, with Arab diplomats expressing extreme concern that any renewed warfare would prove significantly more destructive than previous exchanges. The Supreme Leader has not been seen in public recently, with the orders reportedly communicated through military channels.
This represents an escalation in rhetoric and military posturing from Tehran, following previous rounds of direct missile and drone strikes on US bases in the region.
