A fragmentation grenade was thrown at a building in Ramla on Sunday night, but police responded rapidly to prevent casualties. Officers arrived at the scene before the device detonated and immediately called in a police bomb disposal expert.
The bomb disposal technician successfully neutralised the grenade and transported it for a controlled explosion. Police officers worked to evacuate and warn residents in the surrounding area before the planned detonation, announcing the impending blast and alerting residents to the loud noise expected from the controlled explosion.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
