British court sentences Norwegian teenager recruited by Iranian network for UK assassination plot

Breaking

Johannes Netteland, 19, has been imprisoned after being recruited by the Foxtrot criminal network, allegedly linked to Iranian regime operations, to carry out an assassination in Britain. He was arrested at a hotel in Huddersfield whilst in possession of weapons and ammunition before he could execute the planned attack.

According to Israel Hayom, the network that recruited Netteland has been sanctioned by both the United States and Britain. Investigators have connected the group to activities carried out on behalf of the Iranian regime, targeting Israeli and Jewish sites across Europe.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about Iranian-backed assassination networks operating in Western Europe and their targeting of Israeli and Jewish interests.
