Democrats fail to clear electoral threshold despite urban strongholds

Yair Golan’s Democratic Party won major support in Tel Aviv and some central cities with over 80 percent in one kibbutz but failed to cross the electoral threshold nationally. While capturing 12.8 percent in Ramat Gan, support collapsed in peripheral towns like Netivot where they garnered under 1 percent. Party officials had predicted tens of thousands of Arab voters would back the party, but votes shifted to other lists.
