An eight-year-old child was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Route 316 in the Negev region. The child was brought to Soroka Medical Centre in critical condition, where death was pronounced following the suspected impact with a bus.
A twelve-year-old girl was also seriously injured while riding her bicycle during the same incident and received emergency resuscitation treatment.
The driver responsible for the hit-and-run was arrested several hours after the incident. The circumstances surrounding the accident and the reasons for the driver’s initial flight from the scene are under investigation.
