The government’s legal advisor, Gali Baharav-Miara, approved a temporary reduction in the blue tax (fuel excise tax) to offset rising fuel prices, announced on Wednesday evening.

Following the approval, petrol prices are expected to decrease by 50 agorot per litre, falling from the current 8.25 shekels to 7.75 shekels per litre. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed the necessary order for immediate implementation.
