" Hair loss can be caused by genetics, the season of the year, stress," the expert noted, then detailed what in the food we eat can cause us to lose our hair.
1. "Lack of protein in the menu: hair is built from protein, and grows and lengthens every day from the protein we eat. When you don't eat enough protein (almost a gram of protein per kg of body weight) this causes hair loss."
2. "Lack of iron in the diet – it also causes hair loss. In cases of vegetarianism, sometimes people forget to find substitutes for meat and fish, and end up with iron deficiency anemia."
3. "Lack of vitamin B12 – this vitamin is only found in animal products – egg, meat and fish, dairy products. Sometimes even when you eat enough, the vitamin is not absorbed, because its absorption requires a special factor found in the stomach. If there is hyperacidity or helicobacter pylori or ulcers may to have a problem with its absorption, and when there is a deficiency of this vitamin there is serious hair loss, memory problems, bad mood, weakness and bad sleep. Those who are vegetarian or vegan or suffer from stomach problems, can take a supplement of vitamin B12, it is in pills to suck under the tongue, the amount is there huge, but it is not absorbed, and even if it is – excess vitamin B12 is excreted in the urine and is not harmful."
