Israel is experiencing a slight reprieve from an intense heat wave, though temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal for this time of year. Meteorologists warn that whilst conditions will gradually improve over the next few days, heat stress remains a serious concern for the public and vulnerable populations. The extreme temperatures that have gripped the country are beginning to subside, but residents are still being advised to take precautions against heat-related illness. The Israel Meteorological Service has indicated that the peak of the current heat event appears to have passed, with conditions expected to moderate progressively. Tomorrow and Thursday are forecast to bring further cooling, with temperatures gradually returning to seasonal norms by the end of the week. Despite the improvement, medical authorities continue to recommend that people limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, stay hydrated, and check on elderly relatives and those with health conditions who may be at greater risk during extended periods of high temperatures.
