Heatwave Warning as Israel Braces for Extreme Temperatures

Israel is set to experience unseasonably hot weather on Thursday, with temperatures climbing to extreme levels across most of the country. Mountainous regions and inland areas will be particularly affected, whilst coastal plains are expected to remain slightly cooler by comparison. Meteorologists have warned of severe to extreme heat stress throughout much of the nation.
Night-time conditions are forecast to be clear to partly cloudy, though visibility may be reduced in certain southern regions. The areas most at risk of reduced visibility include the southern coastal plain, the Shephelah (the low-lying region between the coast and the Judean Hills), and the north-western Negev, where localised fog is expected to develop. Residents are advised to take precautions against the intense heat.
