Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir held a comprehensive situational assessment on Monday in preparation for the election period, directing a series of measures to enhance operational readiness across the military.

As part of the preparations, the IDF will implement restricted leave for military units beginning Thursday. The measures include increased presence of senior commanders and reinforced Central Command with additional paratrooper brigade forces, alongside allocation of additional forces to other sectors.

Zamir emphasised the importance of maintaining high operational readiness during the election period, a standard procedure adopted by the IDF during election cycles to ensure national security is not compromised during the political transition.
