IDF issues urgent evacuation warning to southern Lebanese village

The Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesperson issued an emergency evacuation notice today to residents of the Lebanese village of al-Mansoura, citing ongoing security operations in the region. The announcement came as tensions continue between Israel and Hezbollah along the Lebanon-Israel border. According to the IDF statement, residents are being instructed to leave their homes immediately for their own safety. The military spokesperson stated: “The IDF has no intention of harming you. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move away from the village northward for a distance of at least 1,000 metres, to open areas.” The warning reflects the escalating military operations following what Israel describes as violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah. The statement emphasised that anyone remaining near Hezbollah operatives, their facilities, or weapons caches places their lives in danger. This marks part of the IDF’s ongoing effort to communicate directly with Lebanese civilians in Arabic through its spokesperson’s office, a practice that has become increasingly common during periods of heightened military activity in the region.
