IDF kills Hezbollah operatives in northern border operation

The Israeli Defence Force has announced that it eliminated several Hezbollah militants during an overnight operational activity in the Ali Tahir Ridge area. The IDF said its forces identified the terrorists in the security zone where Israeli troops operate and subsequently targeted and neutralised them.

During the encounter, an Israeli combat officer was moderately wounded and was evacuated to hospital for medical treatment. The soldier’s family has been notified of his condition.

The operation is part of ongoing IDF activity along Israel’s northern border, where tensions with Hezbollah have escalated in recent months. The Ali Tahir Ridge area sits in a contested region along the Lebanon-Israel frontier that has seen repeated military engagements between Israeli forces and the Iranian-backed militant group.
