The Israeli Defence Force conducted two separate airstrikes in Gaza on Sunday targeting operatives from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to an IDF spokesperson, both individuals were engaged in terrorist activities and were eliminated through aerial strikes aimed at neutralising the threat they posed. The first strike targeted an Islamic Jihad militant in the Khan Younis area, whilst the second focused on a Hamas operative near Nuseirat in the densely populated Gaza Strip. The IDF stated that both operatives had been advancing terrorist plots and were designated as active threats requiring immediate action. The strikes occurred within approximately one hour of each other, highlighting the military’s continued operations against armed groups in the territory.
