IDF: Slain Hamas commander held 15 hostages during conflict

The Israeli military confirmed that a Hamas Northern Brigade chief killed in a strike this week had held 15 hostages captive during the war. The commander allegedly also participated in the 7 October attack. Separately, the IDF reported eliminating a Hamas sniper in Khan Younis, with Palestinian sources reporting additional casualties from the operations.
