"For a fundamental change to occur, only events of a much larger magnitude, like what happened on October 7th, can create it," he explains. "The October 7th massacre was the last event that moved people from one side to the other on the political map. Even in Operation 'Am Kalavi', the Likud did become stronger, but mainly among undecided people who returned home and not among those who moved to it from the other camp," explains Lazar.
Dr. Lazar also notes that since there has been no recent talk of a unification of the Arab parties, this is reflected in the polls, when they individually receive ten seats, while if they were to unite, they would significantly increase their power.
