Memorial Day at Shmuel Harofeh Hospital: a salute to the medical staff for their perseverance and dedication

The IDF Memorial Day ceremony was held today (Tuesday) at the Shmuel Harofeh Hospital in Be'er Ya'akov. The ceremony was attended by hundreds of hospital employees who marked the day of remembrance by saluting those who fell for the State of Israel. Every day during the year the medical teams fight for the health of the hospitalized and are partners in his personal war of each and every patient. The ceremony was broadcast in closed circuit to the hospitalized patients.

The ceremony was attended for the first time by a group of senior police officers from the Ramla station and the communities division, including the head of the unique communities section, deputy superintendent Guy Eliyahu , the head of the senior citizens department, Superintendent Avraham Kadosh , and the commander of the police center of the Ramla station. The police officers saluted the medical teams for their persistence and great daily dedication to the patients at any time and at any given moment.

The hospital has over 300 beds and specializes in the treatment of acute diseases, similar to a general hospital, from the age of 65, such as hospitalizations in internal wards, ventilator rehabilitation and more. There is close cooperation with the nearby Shamir Hospital (Assaf Harofeh) and urgent situations are referred there. Also, outpatient clinic, imaging and laboratory services are provided at Shmuel Harofeh Hospital.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Batia Kagansky : "Once a year, we gather to mark the Day of Remembrance for the martyrs of Israel's systems and the victims of hostilities. On this day we remember those who fell so that others may continue to live. We continue to live our lives, gain experiences, develop feelings, seek challenges, build a career and have children. For the fallen, time froze and we are here to remember, remind and cherish. May the souls of the martyrs of Israel's systems and the victims of hostilities be a bundle in the bundle of life, and may their memory be preserved and engraved in our hearts forever."
