The mother of Tamir Rada has spoken for the first time since authorities reopened her son’s murder investigation two decades after his death. Olga Karbchenko told local media she learned of the development by surprise, with no official body informing her of the significant development. ‘I found out about it unexpectedly. No official body updated us,’ she said. The case has been transferred to the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor’s Office, effectively reopening one of Israel’s long-standing cold cases. Karbchenko said she would cooperate fully with any renewed investigation, stating: ‘If they summon me for questioning, I will come.’ The reopening of the case represents a fresh opportunity to seek justice for Tamir Rada, whose murder has remained unsolved for 20 years.
