A 25-year-old motorcyclist has been hospitalised in serious condition after skidding on Route 471 in central Israel on Sunday night. The incident occurred between Ono Junction and Bar-Ilan Junction. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics and medics treated the young man at the scene before transporting him to Sheba Medical Centre in Tel HaShomer with multi-system injuries.
Rescue crews found the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the road, some distance from his vehicle. According to MDA paramedic Shai Bruk and medic Yoel Shalom, the man was conscious but suffering from severe injuries across his body. “We provided life-saving medical treatment at the scene and transported him to hospital in serious condition,” they said.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear. Police and road safety authorities typically investigate such incidents to determine the causes, which may include weather conditions, road surface problems, or rider error. Route 471 is a busy highway connecting several major population centres in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
