Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated in private discussions that he is not ruling out a rotation agreement with Gadi Eisenkot, despite public messaging from senior Likud officials to the contrary. When asked about the possibility behind closed doors, Netanyahu responded: “We are examining everything. I am not completely ruling out any option.”
The apparent shift comes as Likud strategists express concern that the change bloc could form a government with Arab parties, Haredi parties, and Shas, which they argue could destabilize a coalition for a full term. This contrasts sharply with public statements from Netanyahu’s allies dismissing rotation scenarios.
The revelation suggests internal recalculation within Likud as coalition negotiations continue, with Netanyahu keeping options open despite party leadership’s public opposition to any power-sharing arrangement with Eisenkot.
