A one-year-old child has been treated for serious burns after coming into contact with boiling water in Rehovot, a city in central Israel, on Tuesday. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s national ambulance service, provided emergency medical care at the scene before transporting the toddler to Kaplan Medical Centre in Rehovot.
The child was admitted to hospital in moderate condition with burns covering parts of his body. Medical teams are continuing to monitor and treat the injuries sustained in the incident.
The accident serves as a reminder of the dangers of hot liquids around young children, who remain particularly vulnerable to such injuries in domestic settings.
