Oops: a serious glitch on Facebook has revealed who is stalking your profile

Last weekend, many Facebook users reported a particularly serious glitch after the social network sent an automatic friend request to every profile they visited recently, even though they never tried to send it a request.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, said: "A spot update on Facebook caused membership requests to be sent in the application by mistake. We have stopped the phenomenon and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to some users." The social network was filled with reactions. Journalist Liane Wildau wrote: "Facebook continues to send friend requests on my behalf, as if he were an Egyptian intermediary." Another surfer wrote: "Facebook sends me friend requests all over the place, to all kinds of people and women that I didn't ask for myself."
