The Pakistani government is pursuing what officials describe as a comprehensive and sustainable solution to the challenges facing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical shipping routes. The strategic waterway, which connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, is essential for global energy supplies, with roughly one-third of all seaborne traded oil passing through it.
