Police hold two suspects in connection with missing man’s death threats

Police have extended the detention of two young men from Dimona by four days as they investigate the disappearance of their friend, who has not been in contact for over two weeks and is believed to be in hiding. The missing man, Alder Dayan, is at the centre of a criminal investigation that has taken a concerning turn. At a court hearing, a police representative stated: “We are investigating an assault involving other teenagers. Following this incident, there was a confrontation between the suspects and Dayan.” The case has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Dayan’s disappearance and the nature of threats allegedly made against him. Defence lawyers representing the two detainees have challenged the legal basis for their continued imprisonment, arguing that if their client is merely missing, the death threat charges lack a clear complainant. “If he is missing, who made the complaint about threats? They are being held as hostages,” the defence team argued in court. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to establish a clear timeline of events and determine Dayan’s current whereabouts and safety.
