Passengers travelling on trains from Beit She’an, Haifa and Nahariya face significant disruptions beginning tomorrow morning through to Sunday morning as Israeli Railways undertakes essential infrastructure maintenance work. A total of 12 stations will be closed during this period, forcing travellers to seek alternative transport or reschedule their journeys.
Israeli Railways has justified the timing of the work by citing the lower passenger demand typically seen during weekends, allowing them to carry out necessary maintenance without impacting weekday commuters. The company has urged the public to check updated timetables and plan their travel accordingly, with services expected to resume normal operations from Sunday.
In addition to the weekend closures affecting northern routes, Israeli Railways has also announced that services between Modi’in and Ben Gurion Airport will be suspended during forthcoming weekends. These broader infrastructure improvements are part of the railway operator’s ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade the country’s rail network, though they will inevitably cause inconvenience to regular users relying on these routes for their weekend travel plans.
