Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missile fired by Houthis towards eastern kingdom

Breaking

Saudi Arabia’s U.S.-led coalition announced Thursday night that it destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Houthi forces in Yemen towards the kingdom’s eastern region, according to Reuters. The Saudi Civil Defence earlier issued alerts for potential danger in the Najran area in the southwest and the Eastern Province.

The interception represents the latest in an ongoing series of attacks by Houthi forces targeting Saudi Arabia. No casualties or damage assessments were immediately reported following the incident.

This attack underscores the persistent military threat posed by Iran-aligned Houthi forces to the Arabian Peninsula and continues a pattern of cross-border strikes that have prompted repeated Saudi air defence responses.
