Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment against Moshe Levi, accused of shooting his father with a crossbow loaded with multiple bolts, seriously wounding him following a series of violent confrontations. The incident reportedly stemmed from tensions related to the younger Levi’s drug addiction. During his police interrogation, the defendant claimed the shooting was accidental, but security camera footage at the scene contradicts his version of events, according to investigators. The prosecution’s case centres on evidence from surveillance recordings that allegedly show the incident was deliberate rather than the result of mishandling the weapon. The case highlights the dangers of substance abuse within families and the escalation of domestic tensions into serious violence. Levi faces attempted murder charges, which carry a lengthy prison sentence if he is convicted.
