SpaceX launches Starship on 13th test flight from Texas

SpaceX has launched its Starship spacecraft on its 13th test flight from its facility in Texas, according to reports. The uncrewed flight is designed to test a range of capabilities as the company continues to develop the massive vehicle for future missions to the Moon and Mars.

Among the objectives for this latest test is the first suborbital deployment of new Starlink satellites. These smaller internet-providing satellites represent an evolution of SpaceX’s existing Starlink constellation, which already provides broadband coverage globally.

The test flight comes as SpaceX accelerates its development timeline for Starship, which is intended to become the world’s most powerful operational rocket. The company has conducted increasingly complex tests over recent months, gradually expanding the vehicle’s capabilities and working towards eventual orbital flights with payload deployment.
