Supreme Court unanimously overturns Arab parties election ban

Israel’s Supreme Court has unanimously rejected an election panel’s decision to ban Arab parties from running in elections, ruling that Ra’am, the Joint List, and MK Ofer Cassif do not meet criteria for disqualification based on racist incitement or support for armed conflict. The court’s decision overturns the ban on Balad’s chief and reinstates the Arab parties’ eligibility to contest elections.
