Temperatures to drop as Israel braces for continued heat extremes

Israel is set to experience a slight cooling trend over the coming days, though forecasters warn that extreme heat will persist in several regions. The Dead Sea and Arava Valley will continue to face intense heat conditions, with Eilat expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius. Despite the relative respite in some areas, the heat burden remains severe across southern and eastern parts of the country.
Today will bring a warming trend with increased humidity levels, making conditions feel more oppressive across much of Israel. However, by Sunday, temperatures are expected to drop moderately, with early morning drizzle forecast along the coastal plain as weather systems begin to shift.
From Monday onwards, temperatures will begin rising again, returning to the pattern of intense heat that has characterised much of the recent period. The forecast underscores the variable nature of Israel’s current weather patterns, with residents warned to prepare for swings between relative coolness and extreme heat conditions.
