Trump administration signals Iran conflict could escalate, calls for regional military readiness

Breaking

The United States has reportedly called upon Gulf nations to prepare for an intensive military campaign, according to reporting from the Wall Street Journal and Israeli sources Ynet and Walla. The messaging appears designed to prepare regional allies for potential escalation following recent developments in the Israel-Iran conflict.

US President Donald Trump stated that the conflict with Iran ‘can end whenever I want it to’ but emphasised that resolution requires ‘an absolute and unequivocal declaration that they will never have nuclear weapons.’ Trump characterised Iran as ‘state number one of terror in the world.’

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that ‘with Iran, it is not yet over,’ signalling ongoing tensions. Earlier, IDF Chief of Staff Eisenkot warned Netanyahu against using security matters for political purposes, cautioning: ‘Do not dare use Israeli security for your political needs.’

The positioning of forces and rhetoric suggests preparation for potential military escalation in the region, though the exact timeline and nature of any future operation remain unclear.
