Police arrested two suspects on Monday night following a shooting at a residential neighbourhood in Gush Chalav, a town in northern Israel. Officers spotted one of the suspects in the act of firing at a vehicle and attempted to apprehend him when he became aware of their presence and fled the scene.
Police pursued the fleeing suspect on foot and in vehicles, ultimately apprehending him after a brief chase. During arrest, the suspect allegedly attempted to obstruct the investigation and conceal evidence, leading to additional charges. Simultaneously, a second suspect who had also fled the scene was located and arrested. Police also seized the vehicle believed to have been used in connection with the shooting incident.
Both suspects are now in custody as the investigation continues. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the relationship between the two detained individuals have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
