A young suspect has been remanded in custody for six additional days following the abduction of a 10-year-old boy in central Israel. The district court determined that suspicions against the suspect remain serious.

The child’s testimony was halted midway due to difficulty in reconstructing the events. Police have not yet determined whether the suspect caused physical harm to the boy.

The child was located early morning in Bnei Brak with a youth from Jerusalem whom he did not know. The investigation continues as authorities work to clarify the circumstances of the abduction.
