Israeli authorities have arrested 21 suspects, including civil servants and private contractors, on suspicion of defrauding the military of millions of shekels during Gaza operations. The arrests were made following a covert investigation by Unit 433, military police, and the Tax Authority.

According to reports from Ynet, Walla, and Israel Hayom, the suspects are accused of multiple offences including fraud, money laundering, and bribery. The investigation centred on irregularities in payments related to heavy engineering equipment operations in Gaza since the start of the conflict.

The suspects were transferred for questioning and are expected to appear before magistrate courts later today for remand extension hearings. The investigation represents a significant corruption case uncovered during active military operations.
