Police investigating the disappearance of Elder Dayan have uncovered new evidence near Yarkon junction, including helmets that have been sent for laboratory analysis. The discovery comes as the investigation into the 2014 case enters a fresh phase, with officers intensifying their search efforts in areas previously examined. The helmets have been forwarded to forensic specialists for detailed examination as part of the ongoing inquiry. Omery Peretz, one of the individuals being questioned in connection with the case, continues to exercise his right to silence and has not cooperated with investigators. Police are expected to petition the court imminently to extend the detention of two associates of Dayan as they seek to build their case. The extensions would allow authorities additional time to continue their questioning and evidence gathering. The case, which has captured significant public attention over the years, has seen renewed investigative efforts following the discovery of these latest leads.
