Moscow has demanded clarification from the United States and Turkey following congressional documents that suggest Washington is considering transferring American military hardware currently stored in Turkey to Kyiv. The proposed transfer includes approximately 70 ATACMS missiles and thousands of artillery shells and rockets, according to the disclosed materials. Russia’s foreign ministry has expressed concern about the potential arms deal, viewing it as a significant escalation in Western military support for Ukraine. The ATACMS system is a long-range surface-to-air missile platform that would substantially enhance Ukraine’s striking capability against Russian positions. Turkish authorities have not yet commented on their involvement in the potential transfer arrangement.
