The investigation examined claims that he had used his position to benefit a club owned by his brother and business partner. The decision to remove him from duty comes after the completion of the preliminary inquiry, which determined sufficient grounds existed to proceed with formal disciplinary action. Police officials stated that the suspended officer would not continue in his current capacity while the investigation continues.
