A man in his 30s was shot dead in Nazareth on Thursday evening, marking the fourth killing in the city within 24 hours. Magen David Adom paramedics provided medical treatment at the scene and transported him to the Italian Hospital with a penetrating injury whilst performing resuscitation procedures. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The escalating violence in Israel’s largest Arab-majority city has reached critical levels. Three other individuals were murdered the previous day, with relatives of the victims reporting that at least one was engaged to be married.
Local residents have expressed concern that organised crime networks operating in the city show no distinction between Arab and Jewish victims. One resident stated: “When criminal organisations strengthen, they don’t ask if the victim is Arab or Jewish.”
The repeated killings within such a short timeframe underscore a broader security crisis in Nazareth, with community members warning that such violence could spread to other areas across the country.
