Air raid sirens were activated in the Saudi Arabian cities of Khamis Mushait and Abha on Saturday evening amid escalating regional tensions and recent Houthi attacks on the kingdom. The alerts come as regional security concerns continue to mount in the Persian Gulf region.

Simultaneously, explosions were reported near Qeshm Island in Iran’s Hormozgan province. According to Iranian reports, the source of the explosions appeared to originate from the direction of the sea, though the circumstances remain unclear at this stage.

The incidents underscore the ongoing military tensions in the region, with Saudi Arabia facing continued drone and missile attacks from Houthi forces while broader geopolitical pressures persist between regional powers.
