Security breach: Man barred from flying cleared to pilot aircraft despite terror concerns

Breaking

A significant security failure has emerged regarding a man who was previously banned from flying by two airlines due to jihadi extremism concerns, yet was subsequently cleared to operate an aircraft to Israel. The individual, identified as Mamun al-Mammi, had been suspended by his airline following extremist activity and was rejected by Royal Air Morocco despite completing three months of training.

Despite these red flags and existing Israeli regulations requiring all crew members’ names to be submitted to authorities, al-Mammi was permitted to fly to Israel, where he allegedly attempted to deliberately crash the aircraft. Multiple security protocols and legal requirements failed to prevent the incident.

The incident has raised serious questions about responsibility and accountability in the security screening process. An investigation has been initiated to determine who failed in their duties and how such a significant security gap was permitted to occur.
