Two Iranian nationals, Salam Ahmadyan, 36, and Rahman Salehi, 34, have been charged with preparation for terrorist acts following an alleged bomb plot against Manchester’s Jewish community. According to Times of Israel reporting, the pair have been remanded in custody.

Investigators identified Heaton Park Synagogue as the alleged target of the bomb plot. The charges represent a significant counterterrorism operation by UK authorities targeting an Iranian-linked threat to a Jewish institution in the United Kingdom.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about state-sponsored or state-linked terrorist threats against Jewish communities in Europe, with Iranian actors allegedly involved in planning attacks against synagogues and Jewish gathering places.
