A 40-year-old woman was found dead in the city of Tira in the Sharon region on Saturday morning with stab wounds to her body. Magen David Adom paramedics responded to a report at the emergency call centre and discovered the victim with severe injuries; they were forced to declare her dead at the scene.
A close family member has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, with initial indications suggesting a stabbing.
According to Ynet, this incident comes as crime rates in Arab communities continue to rise significantly, with 198 homicides reported since the beginning of the year.
