A 16-year-old girl was killed today (Monday) in an accident between a motorcycle and a truck on Route 431, near Rishon Lezion. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene gave her medical treatment and evacuated her to the Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital, where the doctors had to pronounce her dead. Another wounded man, a young man in his 20s, was evacuated from the scene, in a minor condition.
The traffic examiners of the Shafla area of the police began investigating the circumstances of the incident and collecting the findings from the scene. The truck driver was detained for police investigation.
MDA paramedics Amit Shemesh and Shir Shanans said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the pedestrian lying unconscious and suffering from multi-system damage. We gave her medical treatment that included dressings, immobilization and medication and evacuated her in an MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospital as she was in a serious and unstable condition. The motorcyclist was slightly injured and was taken to the hospital in an MDA ambulance."
Meanwhile, a 78-year-old woman was hit by a truck on Zeev Jabotinsky Road in Ramat Gan. MDA medics and paramedics who were dispatched to the scene gave her medical treatment and evacuated her to Ichilov Hospital suffering from bruises. An emergency medical medic riding a MDA motorcycle Yossi Eliovitz said: "When we arrived at the scene we saw the woman lying on the road near the bus while she was conscious and suffering from bruises on her limbs We gave her medical treatment that included dressings and giving painkillers and evacuated her in an MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospital when she was in serious condition."
